Exploring Pedagogical Options for International MLIS Instruction

This is a critical analysis to examine transformative learning within the context of academic libraries and its applications for librarians in an international locus. This research is a cumulation of observation of a semester within an MLIS classroom setting, at the University of Illinois- Urbana-Champaign and Escuela Interamericana de Bibliotecología. Universidad de Antioquia, using a constructivist: student-centered method.

The feedback from this research conducted is intended to develop a schema where teacher, learner and knowledge are all constructed and transformed through their interaction. This can translate to international library instruction and cross-cultural library dialogue and research.
